Gahhhh American Vogue!! I feel so proud of you when you put on a good show like this!! We can’t let those uppity Paris Vogue and Vogue Italias have all the fun, can we? Not to mention the 10s, the AnOthers, the Jalouses, the Russhes, the LOVEs, all the scrappy upstarts who should be your mere handmaidens, happy to so much as lick Anna Wintour’s boot, or be shoved aside by Andre’s massive fur-draped shoulders — and yet!! — who so often upstage you, like the bookwormish girl at school, who emerges in September a swan.

Keep it up, US Vogue. You are still the gold standard. We look to you. We want to believe in you.
